Family members, friends and fans will be able to give the last goodbye to Diogo Jota, a player of the Portuguese team and Liverpool, England, and his brother André Silva, Penafiel player, from Portugal. The athletes’ funeral begins this Friday (04), in Gondomar, hometown of the players, in the metropolitan region of Porto, Portugal.
According to the Spanish authorities, the vehicle in which the brothers were went to overtake, the tire punctured, making the car overturn and catch fire. The rescue teams reported that it was only possible to recognize the cups because of the documents in the car. Spain police are investigating if there was speeding and how the road conditions were.
The funeral is scheduled for this Saturday (05). Diogo and André died in a car accident on a highway in the province of Zamora, Spain, around 00h30, at local time.
