Federal Deputy Carla Zambelli (PL-SP) was arrested on Tuesday (29) in Italy, after fleeing Brazil to avoid serving a 10-year prison sentence determined by the Supreme Federal Court (STF). The conviction is related to the invasion of the National Council of Justice (CNJ) systems by a group of hackers.
Zambelli was considered a fugitive since the arrest warrant was issued. According to Italian deputy Angelo Bonelli, he himself informed the authorities the whereabouts of the parliamentarian. In a publication on social networks, Bonelli said he passed on to the police the address where Zambelli was hidden, which facilitated his identification and subsequent detention.
