Cat Deley and Patrick Kielty have decided to dance their next chapters solo.
The So You Think You Can Dance host and Kielty have called it quits following 12 years of marriage.
“We have taken the decision to end our marriage and are now separated,” the pair said in a joint statement to BBC July 29. “There is no other party involved.”
And Deeley and the BBC Radio 5 Live presenter insisted that their children Milo8, and James5, remain their main focus amid the breakup.
“We will continue to be united as loving parents to our children,” the statement continued, “and would therefore kindly ask for our family privacy to be respected.”
The former couple added, “There will be no further comment.”
Deeley, 48, and Kielty, 54, met in 2002 when they cohosted the BBC talent show Fame Academy together. However, the pair didn’t begin dating until a decade later, when Kielty made the grand romantic gesture of flying from Belfast, Ireland, to Los Angeles for Deeley’s birthday.
