Prime Minister Keir Strmer holds an emergency office meeting on Tuesday (29) to discuss the situation in the Gaza Strip and a proposed peace plan, while under pressure from the party to recognize a Palestinian state.
At a meeting with US President Donald Trump, Scotland, on Monday (28), Stmerer discussed the need for a ceasefire and what he called the “revolting” humanitarian crisis.
Britain is working on the plane with France and Germany after a connection between leaders of the three countries last week. Starmer did not share details of the plan, but over the weekend he compared the proposals for the “coalition of the wills”, the international effort to support Ukraine in the case of a ceasefire in his war with Russia.
The Stmerer spokesman said he would discuss the plan with other international allies and Middle Eastern countries.
The war spreads in Gaza between Israel and the Palestinian militants of Hamas for 22 months. Israel has faced growing international criticism, which its government rejects due to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
