Mexican boxer Julio César Chávez Jr., former world champion of the United States, apparently beaten members of the Sinalo Cartel, according to an investigation by the Mexican prosecutor revealed on Friday by the “Reform” newspaper.
According to the information obtained by the Mexican newspaper, Chavez Jr. is described as a “henchman” by Néstor Ernesto Pérez Rooms, “El Nini”, one of the cartel chiefs.
Apparently, “El Nini” ordered Julio César Chavez’s son, legend of Mexican boxing, who used the subordinates who could make mistakes that could leave them as evidence.
The prosecutor’s accusation is based on two telephone calls from alleged drug traffickers and migratory records shared by the United States and after he was detained for driving under the influence of alcohol.
On November 21, 2019, the Assistant Attachment of the United States (ICE) immigration and control service (ICE) and the US Embassy National Security Investigation Office (HSI) filed a complaint to the Mexican prosecutor for arms trafficking.
Because of this complaint, the prosecutor specializing in organized crimes stapled the phones of several suspects from December 11, 2021 to June 11, 2022.
It was during this time that they said one of the members of the cartel took a girlfriend to a hiding place where there were kidnapped people and a storage with weapons. There she saw “El Nini” order a subordinate to be tied up and hanging like a bag of strokes for Chávez Jr. to beat him.
Chavez Jr., 39, was arrested last Thursday in the United States and will be deported to Mexico.
The US government accuses him of calls with the Sinaloa cartel, and has no documents to remain legally in the country.
Chavez Jr. legally entered the United States in August 2023 with a valid visa until February 2024.
Two months after the end of his visa, he requested permanent residence in the country, claiming to be married to an American citizen.
His partner is also linked to the Sinaloa cartel for having an earlier love relationship with a deceased son, from the well -known leader of this drug trafficking organization, Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzmán.
Although in December 2024 it was declared “a serious threat to public safety” from the country, in the end the US authorities determined that the case of the Mexican boxer was not a priority and he was not arrested at that time.
However, after “multiple fraudulent statements” in his request to become a permanent resident, a process was initiated by which he will be deported to Mexico.
The mexican boxer’s arrest occurred after last Saturday, the 39 -year -old boxer and far from the best way, lost a fight for Youtuber Jake Paul.
