This technology is being perfected with the arrival of the new BMW IX3, scheduled for the end of the year. The model debuts the “Heart of Joy” system, an electronic center that integrates all car control functions, using artificial intelligence and promising almost instant answers. With this, the interaction between driver and vehicle becomes more fluid and intuitive.
The next step, according to BMW, is to make the arrow completely automatic. The system would be able to analyze context, such as the usual driver’s path, signaling plates and GPS data, to trigger the direction indicator light even before the driver decides to change the course.
The proposal represents another advance in the concept of assisted direction with human-machine interaction.
