The BAE-125-700A private jet with N10TN registration was found on July 3, found in the remote area of Gracias and Dios in the east of Honduras, near Nicaragu.
The aircraft was discovered by local authorities and aroused suspicion of participation in drug smuggling.
According to a preliminary investigation, the aircraft flew on the evening of June 29 from the Dominican Republic to Venezuela. The crew filed a flight plan to Granada, but changed the route during the flight, turned off the transponder and landed secretly in the Venezuela territory.
The following day, June 30, the aircraft was recorded radars at the flight of the Nicaraguan airspace before the radars disappeared.

No persons or illegal cargo were found on board during a tour of the debris carried out by the Nicaraguan Air Force. However, other information suggests that there could be up to 400 kg of cocaine on board. Investigators also found that the registration number of the aircraft was intentionally painted in color, probably to make it difficult to identify.
Inside the cabin, investigators discovered iPad and oxygen bottles that were handed over to the forensic team for analysis. According to the US Federal Aviation Federal Office (FAA), the aircraft is registered on Pacific Rim Management LLC based in the US, founded in 2022.

Authorities from Honduras, Nicaragua and other countries of the region cooperate to clarify the circumstances of the incident and identify the responsible persons. The case may be related to international air routes for drug smuggling.
