After days of tension and failed diplomatic negotiations, US President Donald Trump confirmed on Saturday night that US forces performed attacks on three nuclear facilities in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz and Esfahan.
The announcement made by the US president marked a new phase in the ongoing conflict between the United States, Israel and the Iranian regime. At the time, during a statement at the White House, Trump stated that “now is the time of peace,” but this Sunday (22) went further: he first suggested the possibility of supporting a change of regime in Tehran if the Islamic dictatorship that currently commands the Persian country does not return to the negotiation table.
In response to Saturday’s American bombings, Iran attacked US military bases on Monday in Iraq and Qatar, further increasing tensions in the region.
