What is the M1991?
The M1991 MLRS is a 240mm rocket launcher developed by North Korea in the late 1980s, as an attempt to replicate the Soviet system BM-27 wrapped. The equipment accommodates 22 rockets and was originally mounted on the Chinese truck chassis CQ25290. The default crew includes two operators, a driver and one commander.
The default range of M1991 rockets is 60 kilometersbut updates released in 2024 indicate the possibility of reaching up to 80 kilometers.
