The Russian Navy conducted a large-scale military practice this week in the Baltic Sea, simulating the destruction of enemy navies with the support of air and space aircraft. The simulation was part of the Baltic Fleet Training Program and aimed at testing the preparedness of Russian forces to protect key infrastructures in the Kaliningrad region.

The Russian offensive units included attacking warships, sea reconnaissance units, rocket boats and units of left and bastion coastal rocket systems.
During the operation, soldiers carried out electronic rocket launches against sea and land targets that symbolized hostile forces.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the practice also simulated how to defend themselves against a hostile attack on Kaliningrad, using modern air and missile defense systems.
The major part of the military exercise was the participation of Buyan-M rocket ships-Naro-Fominsk, Zelenij Dol and Szjerpuhov-which are equipped with calibr cruiser meters. These ships made simulated attacks with precision weapons against surface targets and coastal facilities.
Practice has, according to an official assessment, demonstrated the ability of the Russian Navy to detect and neutralize enemy naval groups at any point in the Baltic Sea.
