A tiny car in which only one person fits in has become viral in social media and deceived many Brazilian users because it looks like a narrow version of old Fiat Uno.
It is informally called “Meiuno”, due to the vehicle’s nostalgic design, which reminds me of the so-called 1980s and 1990s. However, the model, which has become a sensation, is actually a modified European Fiat Panda handmade by Italian Andrea Marazzi.
The unusual project was introduced by Panda at the Pandino event, the largest panda fan meeting in Pandino, Italy. Marazzi thought of the idea as a personal challenge: he measured his chest, cut an original panda in half, reassembled it, and created an ultra -compact car with an external width of only 50 cm. It is completely electrical and functional, the minia car is capable of up to 15 km/h and retained the original parts such as the dashboard, steering wheel, seats and even the boot – all in a scaled size.
Similarity to Brazilian Fiat Uno is no coincidence: both have the same roots and a practical style of 1980s. While the Uno was premiered in Brazil in 1984, the panda was introduced in Europe in 1980 as an economical urban car.
Despite the misunderstandings, the viral vehicle is indeed a unique European panda. It is called “the world’s most narrow panda”, made a single personalized, and conquered the Internet.
