A tiny car that only offers space for one person went viral on social media and confused many Brazilians because it looks like a narrow version of the old Fiat Uno.

Informally called “Meuno”, the vehicle attracted attention with its nostalgic design, which is reminiscent of the UN from the 1980s and 1990s. The model that has become an internet hit is actually a modified European Fiat Panda, handmade by Italian Andrea Marazzi.

The unusual project was presented at the Panda a Pandino event, the largest meeting of Panda enthusiasts in the Italian city of Pandino. Marazzi had the idea as a personal challenge: he measured his own chest, sawed an original panda in the middle, welded it together again and created an ultra -compact car with only 50 cm outdoor width. The mini car reaches a speed of up to 15 km/h fully electrically and functional and retains original parts such as dashboard, steering wheel, seats and even the trunk – everything on the reduced scale.

The similarity to the Brazilian Fiat Uno is no coincidence: both parts of the roots and the practical design of the 1980s. While the UN was introduced in Brazil in 1984, the Panda debuted in Europe in 1980 as a cheap city car.

Despite the confusion, the viral vehicle is actually a tailor -made European panda. Nickname “The narrowest panda in the world”, he was built for one person and conquered the Internet.
