Ukraine drone attacks hurt Chinese journalist, says Russian authorities

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has requested that the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and other international entities evaluate the incident urgently. “The directed attack indicates the intention of the Kyiv regime to silence and, in fact, destroy representatives of any media seeking to convey objective information,” said Maria Zakharova, the ministry spokesman, in a publication on Telegram. Reuters could not verify the information independently. There was also no immediate response from Ukraine to the agency’s requests for commentary. Phoenix TV reported the attack, but did not disclose an official statement. According to Russian state authorities and state vehicles, Lu has been following the conflict since the beginning of the Russian invasion in February 2022. In a video released by Tass agency, Lu appeared with his head bandaged and said he was feeling well. “Western journalists are not seen at all (in Kursk),” said Lu “we Chinese journalists want to show what happened in the Kursk region.” Since the beginning of the war, both Russia and Ukraine have been performing attacks beyond borders.
