“Finally it happened, the Democrats crossed the last limit. Zohran Mamdani, a 100% communist lunatic, has just beaten the primary democrats and is on the way to become mayor. We have had radical leftists before, but this is getting ridiculous,” Trump wrote on the Truth Social network.
In the post, the president also pinned two other Democrats, Deputy Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (known as AOC) and Senate opposition leader Chuck Schumer.

With 93% of the votes of the primary democrats (held yesterday) cleared, Mamdani leads with 43.51% of the votes, and second place, Andrew Cuomo, admitted defeat.
A member of the leftist wing of the Democratic Party, Mamdani promises to freeze the rents in New York if he is elected and accused Israel of committing “genocide” in the war in the Gaza. He was born in Uganda, 33 years old, is Muslim and is currently a state deputy in New York.
New York Mayor Eric Adams, who is from the Democratic Party, will compete for reelection independently on November 4, after co -religionists resigned due to indictment in September last year for five accusations of rear bribe, fraud and request for illegal campaign donations from abroad.
In April this year, a federal judge filed the lawsuit against Adams, after a request in this sense made by Trump management.
Although it is from the Democratic Party, Adams is favorable to Trump’s illegal immigration policies. During the presidential campaign, the Republican said he and the mayor would be “persecuted” because they were against what he called the “open borders” policy of the Joe Biden government (2021-2025).
The Republican Party candidate for New York City Hall will be Curtis Sliwa, who lost to Adams in 2021.
