United States President Donald Trump celebrated at a press conference at the White House the decisions made by the Supreme Court on Friday, saying that he could advance with his policies.
“Thanks to this decision, we can probably now enter the process to continue these numerous policies and those that have been unduly prohibited throughout the country, including citizenship by birth, the end of the financing of sanctuaries, the suspension of refugee resettlement, the freezing of unnecessary financing, the prohibition of federal taxpayers to pay for transgender surgeries and countless other priorities of the American people. We have so many of them.
The president spoke to the press accompanied by Attorney General Pam Bondi and Assistant Attorney General Todd Blanche. According to Trump, the day was marked by a “victory for the Constitution, the separation of powers and the rule of law.”
The White House leader praised the position of Supreme Court Judge Amy Coney Barrett saying that he has “a great respect for her” and the decision was “brilliantly written” on Friday.
Trump extended the compliments to the other judges who supported the majority decision of 6 votes against 3 of liberal magistrates. “I want to thank Judge Barrett, who wrote the opinion brilliantly, as well as the president of the Supreme Court, Roberts, and the Judges Alito, Grasuch, Kavanaugh and Thomas – great people.”
Trump also celebrated another important decision of the Supreme Court related to students’ religious freedom in Maryland. “Tremendous victory for parents,” the president said after the Higher Court supported a request so that students from state public schools could withdraw from classes using diversity books.
“I think it’s a great decision for parents. It’s really a decision for parents. They have lost control of schools, they have lost control of their children, and this is a tremendous victory for their parents. And I’m not surprised by it, but I’m surprised that it has come so far,” Trump said.
Before ending the press conference, the president celebrated once again the gains of his government this week. “We had an amazing week. We had a lot of victories this week,” he said.
