Gabriel Jesús Sarmiento, a 25 -year -old Venezuelan digital influencer, was murdered during a broadcast on the social network Tiktokat dawn on Monday (23).
Local press reports point out that at least two gunmen broke into the young man’s residence and started the shots while the influencer’s audience followed a live programming on his channel.
The crime happened shortly after Sarmiento made a series of public complaints against members of the criminal gangs Tren de Aragua and El Tren del Llano, citing an alleged bond of criminals with the Venezuelan police.
The influencer announced to followers that he was receiving constant threats from Aragua’s Tren, citing the leader of the criminal organization “Niño Guerrero”, and called for protection from the authorities, but was eventually surprised by criminals invading his home without receiving any help.
