The National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel) maintained the red tariff flag for July. With this, the electricity bills will follow with extra charge of $ 4.46 per 100 kilowatt hours consumed.
According to Aneel, the measure reflects the volume of below average rainfall in various regions of the country, which reduces energy generation by hydroelectric dams and increases the need to trigger more expensive sources such as thermoelectric plants.
