The Government of Qatar reported on Monday that intercepted the missiles that Iran fired against Al Udeid’s Air Base, an attack by the Ayatollah regime in response to US bombing to Iranian nuclear facilities over the weekend.

Al udeid’s air base houses units of the Qatar and the United States air forces and is the largest American military base in the Middle East.

According to information from the Associated Press agency, the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Majed Al-Anari, said in a statement that he “condemns the attack of the Iranian revolutionary guard against the Al Udeid Air Base.”

“We reaffirmed that Qatar’s air defenses successfully frustrated the attack and intercepted the Iranian missiles,” said the minister, who said that Qatar will work with the United States and Iran to a serious return to the negotiation table and dialogue ” – in reference to the negotiations that were happening between Washington and Tehran for a nuclear agreement.

He added that there were no victims and classified the attack as “a blatant violation of Qatar’s sovereignty, its airspace and international law.”

“We ask for the immediate end of all military activities,” said Al-Ansari, who said Qatar’s airspace is safe.

“We claim that the state of Qatar reserves the right to respond directly, proportionally to the nature and scale of this blatant aggression and according to international law,” said the spokesman.
