Pentagon says US attack on the Iranian nuclear program was like the planned

by Marcelo Moreira

The United States Department of Defense defended recent attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities. At a news conference, Trump Management Defense, Pete Hegseth, said Iranian structures were severely damaged and that the operation followed exactly the planned. According to him, the action was the result of a fifteen -year plan and represented a historic milestone for American security.

During the press conference, Hegseth focused much of his statements in criticism of the press, accusing journalists of prioritizing scandals rather than recognizing strategic advances. Alongside General Dan Caine, the secretary displayed images of tests with antibunker bombs, but did not present visual evidence of the actual impact on Iranian facilities. However, a preliminary report of American intelligence, revealed by press vehicles, points out that the bombing only delayed the Iranian nuclear program for a few months.

Former President Donald Trump also reinforced the official version of the government, claiming that the attack prevented Iran from removing nuclear material from the Ford’s underground base. According to him, satellite images show that the country only tried to reinforce the structure with concrete before bombing. Trump stated that the Iranian program was eliminated and that the country would take years to rebuild its nuclear facilities.

Meanwhile, Iran’s supreme leader Ali Khamenei appeared in national network to minimize the effects of the offensive. He stated that the United States failed to cause any relevant damage and that the Iranian nuclear program remains underway. The statement marks Khamenei’s first public demonstration since the ceasefire and opens the dispute of versions between Tehran and Washington on the true impact of the attacks.
