Israel avoids new attacks against Iran after Trump’s connection

by Marcelo Moreira

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office confirmed new target attacks in Tehran on Tuesday after the start of the ceasefire, justifying that Iran had violated the deal with the launch of new missiles against the country.

However, he added through a statement that interrupted additional operations after a conversation with US President Donald Trump.

After the connection, Netanyahu said Trump “expressed his great appreciation for Israel” and therefore pledged to avoid additional attacks against Iran, respecting ceasefire. A source of the White House informed the CNN that the American president was “exceptionally firm and straightforward” in the conversation with Israeli Prime Minister.

In Truth Social, Trump later wrote: “Israel will not attack Iran. All aircraft will go beyond and return home while doing a friendly salute to Iran. No one will be injured, the ceasefire is in force!”

Shortly thereafter, in another message on his own social network, the president insisted on capital letters that “Iran will never rebuild their nuclear facilities!”

After the exchange of accusations and threats between the countries, even with the theoretically in force ceasefire, Trump expressed frustration on the sides of the conflict. “I am not satisfied with Israel, I am very dissatisfied, although I am not satisfied with Iran,” Trump told reporters at the White House before leaving for the NATO summit in The Hague, the Netherlands.

“Basically, we have two countries that have been struggling for so long and so hard that they no longer know what they are doing,” he added.
