The Iranian Nuclear Installation of Fordow was hit again, this time by an Israeli attack, according to Iranian media. The site, built in a mountain, was the target of US anti-Bunker bombs last Saturday and was reached by the Israelis on Monday (23).
A spokesman for the Qom Province Crisis Management headquarters, where the installation is located, confirmed to the Tasnim news agency that Fordow was hit again. “The American attack over the weekend must have caused very significant damage to the installation, given the sensitivity to the vibration of its centrifuges, said the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (AIE), Rafael Grossi. He added that the severity of underground damage cannot yet be said.
Fordow was one of three Iranian nuclear facilities attacked by the United States. Natanz and Isfahan were also hit and according to President Donald Trump, the offensive aimed to weaken the country’s nuclear program and demonstrate strength in the face of possible retaliation.
