Iran’s Foreign Minister ABBAS ARAGHCHI said at dawn on Tuesday (24, local time) that the country’s military performed military operations against Israel “until the last minute”, implying that the country joined the ceasefire announced earlier by US President Donald Trump.
“The military operations of our powerful Armed Forces to punish Israel for their aggression continued until the last minute at 4am [21h30 no horário de Brasília]”Araghchi said in an X publication.
“With all the Iranians, I thank our brave armed forces, who remain ready to defend our dear country to the last drop of blood and who responded to any enemy attack until the last minute,” wrote the chancellor of Iran.
Earlier, Araghchi had written in the X that Iran had not reached any ceasefire agreement with Israel, but would stop the attacks if the Israelis interrupted their offensive until 4 am local time.
In a post on the Truth Social Network around 19 hours from Brasilia, Trump said he had reached an agreement with Israel and Iran for a ceasefire in the combat that began on the 13th, in a schedule that would start with the closing of military operations that were underway within six hours (deadline that would end 1 from Brasilia).
