Iran confirms serious damage to nuclear facilities after attacks

by Marcelo Moreira

Iran’s Islamic regime first admitted on Thursday that attacks launched by the United States on Saturday (21) against its nuclear facilities caused “extensive and serious damage.”

The statement was made by Iranian Foreign Minister, ABBAS ARAGHCHI, during a press conference in Istanbul, Turkey, when the country advances to suspend its cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (AIEA), the United Nations body responsible for nuclear supervision.

According to Araghi, the extent of damages is still being evaluated and the Islamic regime discusses whether it will allow international inspectors to enter.

“I must say that the damage is extensive and serious, but if AIEA inspectors should come and be fully informed is a decision that should be made according to the law of Parliament,” the chancellor said in an interview with the state channel Ireland. “In my opinion, the Supreme National Security Council must make this decision,” he added.

The United States and Israel increased the pressure on the Ayatollah regime on Thursday. According to Israel’s Minister of Defense, Israel Katz, both countries demanded that Iran deliver all uranium enriched under its inauguration. Earlier, Iran’s supreme leader Ali Khamenei reappeared saying that his country defeated Israel, a statement that was rejected by the White House.
