Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo renewed a contract with Al-Nassr, Saudi Arabia, until June 2027. The announcement was made by the club on Thursday (26) on social networks. The extension of the bond guarantees the permanence of the player for two more seasons, which means that he should continue in professional activity up to 42 years.
The renewal of the contract ends weeks of speculation. In May, CR7 had published an enigmatic message after the end of the Saudi season, suggesting a possible farewell, “this chapter is over. The story is still being written.” The post raised doubts about the permanence of shirt 7, which was named after other clubs.
With the renewal confirmed, Ronaldo follows firmly in one of the main objectives of his career, reaching the historical mark of 1,000 official goals. He currently has 938 goals, according to data compiled by specialized websites.
