A few days after Brazilian Juliana Marins was found dead at Mount Rinjani, Indonesia, climber Malaysian Nazli Bin Awan Mahat, had a serious accident in the same region. According to the Asian press, the man fell from a height of approximately 200 meters.
The case was confirmed to the newspaper Sinar Harian by the head of the Rinjani National Park. According to him, the climber plummeted shortly before reaching a bridge during the trail. A rescue operation was quickly assembled and managed to find the man with life.
Despite the fall, the climber suffered only legs in the legs and heads and was able to walk after help. The park director alerted mountaineers and tourists about the trail’s dangers, reinforcing that the risks should not be underestimated.
