The Constitution and Justice Commission (CCJ) of the House of Representatives established a deadline for the licensed deputy Carla Zambelli (PL-SP) to defend himself in the process of revoking the mandate. The parliamentarian has the limit of five sessions to expose her written defense and indicate evidence, counting from this Tuesday (24).
Zambelli’s cassation process has as rapporteur federal deputy Diego Garcia (Republicans-PR), chosen last Tuesday (17).
After the negative or positive opinion, the process will be subjected to the vote in the House Plenary. For Zambelli to be actually deprived of office, 257 parliamentarians need to vote in favor.
Zambelli faces the process of loss of mandate due to the conviction, on May 14, for the invasion of the electronic system of the National Council of Justice. The Supreme Court (STF) sentence also determined that the congressman be arrested for ten years.
